THE last stand

Scripture Context: Luke 21:25-28, 31, 34-36; Malachi 3:2; Revelation 6:17

Dearly Beloved,

The Godhead (God the Father, God the Son—Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost) brings a word of revelation and simplicity of the divine message of Jesus Christ, in dimensions of “The Last Stand” and standing up for what is right, of justice, righteousness, and truth with a clarion call to the saints, backslider, and sinner. In this “The Last Stand” there is no between or neutral place in the conscious of decision making living a life in this world in the practical and spiritual. This is a day of trouble upon the entire world in a dispensation of time Jesus Christ will return to this world to rapture His people and to judge the entire world. Revelation 3:16, “So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” These are Jesus Christ words written to the church in a position of between, neutral, and lukewarm, not fully committed, but wanting to be apart and represent as the church body under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

There are two questions every human-being alive on this earth must consider, “But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth?for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap.” (Malachi 3:2). These questions does not have racial or culture barriers, but posed to the saints to evaluate, the backslider to evaluate, and the sinner to evaluate in which the individual response to the questions brings about the “stand” of the individual. Then, the question in Revelation 6:17, “For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” To take “The Last Stand” you must know what you are standing for and if you will be able to stand the test in the moment of time and span of time. Let us take a journey in the scriptures in remembering the divine instructions and words of Jesus Christ, Old Testament and New Testament prophesy unveiling in this world even so now.

In the context of Luke 21:35-36, “For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.”  Let us reflect on two words of the context of great meaning in dimensions, “snare” and “stand” to help evaluate, strategize, overcome, and succeed in victory.

Let us stop to evaluate snare:
Snare is mentioned in 18 books of the Bible and 44 passages of the Bible from the Old Testament and New Testament. • Snare is to deceive, to entangle, to take away life and purpose.
  • Snare is sent to overtake a person, people, group, entity, nation, in which not to escape.
  • Snare can be a reproach sent by God for disobedience and sin.
  • God and Jesus Christ can only overturn and reverse the snare of evilness and wickedness with lasting change.

Let “US” now connect three passages of scriptures
“…to watch therefore, pray always, accounted worthy to stand before, and the questions “who may abide the day of his coming?” “who shall stand when he appeareth?” and “who shall be able to stand?” The impact of Truth, in the Word of God, Jesus Christ is reminding every human-being in this dispensation of time on taking “The Last Stand” living in this world.

Let us journey with Jesus Christ teaching to His disciples and people who would hear. (Luke 21:25-28, 31, 34-36):

  • In the context, Jesus Christ is teaching His disciples and people about the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem, signs of Christs coming, signs of the time, and the last days of this world, the END. Jesus instructs to take heed, not to be deceived, caught in a snare of the devil, and the world; herein, to: a) Stand taking heed of oneself in a self-evaluation of choices in stance of right and wrong; b) Stand as watchmen or watchwomen on alert; c) Stand in the defense of prayer always not to be deceived by evaluating by the written Word of God; d) Stand against a state of slumber in which the heart and spirit is weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of life; e) Stand in expectation and awareness in the end time; f) Stand in mind, heart, and spirit of the reality of truth; g) Stand on alert against the snares of the world and devil; h) Stand in a defense to shake off and fight off the snares of the devil through Jesus Christ help by the Holy Spirit; and i) Stand prepared for His coming, to be counted worthy to stand before Him, Jesus Christ.
  • The passage is a message of things to come, the end of days of this world, evaluation and being a living epistle, example of Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ will come again to judge the whole earth. “The Last Stand” everyone faces here on earth of all duration of time from the Old Testament and New Testament with an eternal reward of Hell--damnation of a burning firing or Heaven—a promise of eternal life in a prepared place, the Kingdom of God. A reminder to the saints, disciples of Jesus Christ, believers of Jesus Christ, not to be caught off guard in this time.

Let us journey in the prophetic message to Malachi, to the people, from the Lord (Malachi 3:1-5):

  • The third chapter of Malachi is divided into four stages of prophesy, profound in His time. Malachi 3:1-5, prophesy of Jesus Christ as a covenant of promise into the world, the messenger paving the way, John the Baptist (Matt 3:11), and the coming of Christ judging the world and His people, “Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts.” In Malachi 3:2, “But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap,” reminding us in questions correlating to the prophesy of Revelation 6:17. The passage is a message of hope and judgment, intended to lead to repentance, healing, and restoration. “The Last Stand” of promise here on this earth and in Heaven.

Let us journey in Revelation, the prophetic book with a call to the church body and people of the faith, the revelation, testimony, and witness of the Apostle John of Jesus Christ to the church (Revelation 6:17):

  • In Revelation Chapter Six, revealed to the Apostle John are the opening of the “six seals” the Lamb, Jesus Christ, with “come and see,” each seal opened is a destruction that will come upon all the earth, correlates to Jesus Christ, warning to His disciples, everyone confessing to be a disciple or His people, the last days and the end time. It is in verse seventeen, the church is warned and everyone on the earth of the coming of Jesus Christ, “For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” The purpose to be ready for “The Last Stand” in right fellowship and relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ tells us in Matthew 24:22, “And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.” This correlates to Luke 21:25-28, 31, 34-36, of the last days. Jesus is instructing about deceivers and false prophets, in the perilous times and last days. Matthew 24:24 reads, “For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” The Last Stand of “watch, pray, stand up, and rise up” of destiny to obtain, the promise of Matthew 24:31, “And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”

Every human-being will be challenged to take “The Last Stand” whether right or wrong in this world throughout the year of 2025, living life in this world. The question is, “What Last Stand” will you be taking? For the saints and people of God professing the faith under the Lordship of Jesus Christ, head of the church body, “The Last Stand” is living the doctrine of the Holy Bible, living in right relationship and fellowship, and being an example to harvest in souls for the Kingdom of Heaven. Likewise, the question is, “What Last Stand” will you be taking?

Concluding, with this scripture of context knocking at the “hearts” of everyone who will listen, hear, and receive this message, Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Jesus Christ, the new covenant came into the world to redeem mankind with a promise and chance of eternal life to everyone. For this reason, John 3:16, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” That is human-beings in the world, to redeem every saint from the Old Testament and New Testament written in the Word of God and to those who will believe and receive Jesus Christ. Ending, Psalm 24:3, “Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? The Last Stand!
